Job Role Motivate and encourage participants while maintaining their safety. Providing direction to runners and the public while being vigilant for their safety. A high level of customer service is required, as well as a flexible, can-do attitude. Clean up at the end of your shift, including litter picking flexible, can-do attitude welcome. Job Role Join a dynamic team collecting discarded clothing from runners at the start line. Clothing will be handed over by runners, gathered from trees, crowd barriers or the roadside. We bag them and then fill storage bags ready for post-event van collection. This fast-paced, hands-on role involves physical work, runner interaction, and plenty of inspiration. We finish as a team once the area is cleared, and the clothing is enroute to the sorting depot! Dress Code Warm black clothing – weather dependant and raincoat, no jeans.
Event Description The UK's third largest marathon, not to mention most picturesque. The flat course makes it perfect for runners looking for a quicker race. It is also renowned for its roaring crowd support! The Salvation Army sets up designated clothing drop-off and scatter collection points at each of the three start areas. Why? Because many runners wear extra layers while warming up and waiting in the holding lanes, only to discard them as they cross the start line. These items can be upcycled or recycled, reducing waste and supporting a great cause. Flair’s team eagerly embraced the opportunity to be part of this iconic event and assist with the Salvation Army’s charity collection. Transport No parking and road closures will be in place. Job Role Welcoming guests, assisting with workshop activities, interacting with children and remaining upbeat and consistent during each session. The workshop consists of a giant sandpit where you and the children will look for dinosaur skeletons. Whilst ensuring smooth event operations you will be creating a memorable and educational experience for children and families.
